ICT Association of Zambia (ICTAZ)
The Information and Communications Technology Association of Zambia (ICTAZ) was established by an Act of parliament; ICTAZ Act no. 7 of 2018 of the laws of Zambia to provide for the registration of Information and Communications Technology professionals and regulate their professional conduct in the interest of the information and communications technology sector. Section 3(1) of the Act renamed the Computer Society of Zambia registered under the Societies Act to the Information and Communications Technology Association of Zambia. Visit ICTAZ website.
Bankers Association of Zambia (BAZ)
The Bankers Association of Zambia (BAZ) was formally registered in 2008 to represent the interests of registered and licensed commercial banks operating in Zambia. Before the formal registration, the Association operated informally with the Chairing Bank in a particular year offering secretarial services and coordinating the activities of the members. The role of the Association has evolved over time to include promoting efficiencies, innovations, and industry growth and positioning members to continue supporting the private sector and Government economic development agendas enshrined in the National Development Plans and other policy documents. Association for Digital Finance Practitioners Zambia (ADFP)
The ADFP is a non-profit organization, established in 2018 to promote financial inclusion and ensure that digital finance services are accessible to all in Zambia. The association provides a platform for practitioners to exchange information, learn from each other, and work together to ensure that digital finance initiatives are successful. Payments Association of Zambia (PAYZ)
The payment association of Zambia (PAYZ) was founded in 2018 and subsequently registered in 2019 was recognized in terms of the constitution, being a payment system association registered as such in terms of the Societies Act Of Zambia CAP 119. The Bank of Zambia together with Financial Sector Deepening Zambia (FSDZ) mobile money operator and non bank payment service providers partnered to form the Payment Association of Zambia. The association serves as a joint industry platform from which members are able to collaborate in dealing with various issues of mutual interest including payment systems policy formulation, innovations and the conduct of public and private dialogue.
