2020 Summit & Report

As the first fintech event held twice a year in the USA and Africa, Africa Fintech Summit boasts the largest network of African fintech stakeholders from across the globe. Since 2018, AFTS has hosted more than 1500 attendees, from 50+ countries and 6 continents, who collectively represent each of the sector’s top stakeholder segments.

In November 2020, we merged our two bi-annual events into one, three-day virtual summit. #AFTS2020 hosted 73 speakers, 855 registered delegates, a startup expo and pitch competition, 12 panel sessions, keynotes, fireside chats, and roundtables. Some of these discussions were highlighted by BBC’s World Service Business Daily Podcast.

Each day’s content was organized by the trends we uncovered during the preparation of Africa Fintech: State of the Industry 2020, a 63-page report solely dedicated to Africa’s fintech innovators, investors, policymakers, and more.
