AlphaExpo 2022

AFTS’ AlphaExpo program has been seeded in our mission to support early-stage entrepreneurship and investment in the African financial technology ecosystem. At each November edition of the Africa Fintech Summit, we select startups from hundreds of applications to exhibit at the summit free of charge and to participate in our AlphaExpo Bootcamp, concluding in a pitch competition. 

We have begun accepting applications to our 5th AlphaExpo cohort in Cape Town, South Africa at this year’s Africa Fintech Summit on November 3-4, 2022. Please apply before September 30, 2022 to be considered for the program. Selected startups will be notified of their selection by Friday, October 7th.

What can you expect from participating in the AlphaExpo?

Selected applications will be notified of their selection by Friday, October 7th. Participation in the program will include various sessions covering everything from fundraising, to strategy, and even compliance; selected startups will also receive FREE admission to AFTSCapeTown, a FREE exhibition booth, an invite to all VIP events, and the opportunity to participate in the AlphaExpo Pitch Competition before a panel of judges and a room full of venture capital money.

The prize for the winner of the competition has not yet been decided but will be announced soon!
