Chinedu Enekwe (Partner, Passbook Ventures) sat down with TeamApt’s Founder & CEO Tosin Eniolorunda at the beginning of AFTSDC2022 to discuss TeamApt’s evolution and the entrepreneurial journey that helped make TeamApt the major player in the continental ecosystem that it is today.
The Africanization of Global Fintech panel highlighted the largest and foremost fintechs in Africa including Flutterwave, TeamApt, and Cellulant.
Akshay Grover, the CEO of Cellulant, receives his company’s award during the Excellence in Fintech Award Ceremony. The ceremony recognized 14 different fintech companies for their work in various areas including Fintech-Banking Relationships, Blockchain Technology, and Embedded Finance.
During one of the breakout sessions, Citi’s Ronit Ghose (Future of Finance Thought Leader) sat down with Visa’s Head of Crypto Strategy for Emerging Markets Chike Ukaegbu discussing the future of crypto on the African continent and highlighting the various use cases for the implementation of blockchain across different industry sectors.
Hio Sola-Usidame, the Founder & CEO of OnePort 365, won the AFTS-IBM New Venture Competition which brought together six different startups from across Africa to pitch on the main stage during AFTSDC2022.
AFTSDC2022 concluded with a Happy Hour sponsored by MoneyGram where speakers, sponsors, and attendees were able to commune and relax after a busy day of networking, panel conversations, and keynotes.
